Cold Whole Milk
Cold Whole Milk tells the story of Margaret and Jack, a young married couple, who live in a house in a nice little neighborhood where the milkman and the mailman come by every morning, with the Robertsons in the next house over and the Petersons on the other side. A visit from a door-to-door hairbrush salesgirl sparks Margaret to begin what she hopes will be a romantic affair that lets her finally feel like herself. When Jack becomes fascinated with the brushes themselves and what they mean to him as a man(?), they both start keeping secrets. Later, with the help of her friend Veronica, Margaret is able to find a way to show her love for Jack and express their need to understand each other - outside of their prescribed roles as husband and wife. The milkman and the mailman still come by every morning, and every morning the boundaries of their relationship have shifted until they finally burst open in a declaration of vibrant and unashamed queer love.
